Was the “Cash Me Outside, How Bou Dat” Girl’s Instagram Hacked or Is This Just an Elaborate Publicity Stunt?

13-year-old Florida native, Danielle Bregoli, became an overnight sensation in September 2016, after an infamous appearance on Dr. Phil.
Her infamous remark “cash me outside, how bou dat” gave birth to this dark star, and memetic insanity of epic proportion.

A sign of the times of the cult of personality, Bregoli’s fame and ego has continued to rise over the past few months – making videos with Tai Lopez, getting her own show, making lots of that cash money, and visiting Dr. Phil for an epic second appearance – telling him he was “Nothin'” before she came on the show.

However, this week, in the midst of Wikileaks revelations of Vault 7, a group called “Face” apparently “hacked” Bregoli’s Instagram account – and uploaded a series of videos and threatening messages, promising that leaks and chaos will ensue.

They also edited her information to say something along the lines of “no god, i am a false idol” and a phrase in Russian (Демократия умирает во мраке), which translates to “Democracy dies in darkness”.

This is what her page looked like on the day of the original “hack”:
THIS IS THE MODERN DAY CELEBRITY?
THIS COUNTRY GLORFIES AND MAKES FAMOUS
A YOUNG GIRL FOR BEING DISRESPECTFUL TO HER MOTHER
SHE IS NO IDOL.
SHE IS NO ROLE MODEL.
SHE IS NO GOD.
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.
However, about 15 minutes ago (1:00pm EST), the account was yet again updated with a link to this video in her bio.

Hack? Me thinks not. Elaborate publicity stunt? Unfortunately, it seems so.
Well played @glassface.
